Why BioForm / Accreditation

ISO/IEC 17025:2017 Accreditation

BioForm Solutions is accredited to ISO/IEC 17025:2017 — the international standard for the competence of testing laboratories — by Perry Johnson Laboratory Accreditation, Inc. (PJLA).

What does ISO/IEC 17025 accreditation mean?

ISO/IEC 17025 is the international standard for the competence of testing and calibration laboratories. Accreditation means an independent accreditation body has verified that our test methods and quality management system meet rigorous, internationally recognized requirements. It is an ongoing process — maintained through continuous assessment — that assures clients our results are technically sound, traceable, and reproducible.

What is BioForm accredited for?

Our accreditation covers Biological Testing — specifically cell health and enumeration by flow cytometry, using standard method ISO 19344 Part B. This is the method behind our AFU (Active Fluorescent Unit) probiotic and postbiotic enumeration services.

Why accreditation matters for your QA program

Accredited results are defensible. Because our methods are independently assessed and our data is traceable and reproducible (CV < 10%), the numbers we return can support label claims, supplier qualification, and regulatory audits — without the variability and culture-dependence of CFU plate counts.
